If you are teaching in the northern hemisphere (or if you are teaching the ‘May’ session) welcome back to the new term!

That said, it is likely that many of you have been back in school for a few weeks (many international schools terms start in August) but here in the UK the new term starts at the beginning of September.

You may be new to the IB or an old hand at it but I hope whatever your circumstances you find it a rewarding, enjoyable, challenging and stimulating course.

My intentions this academic year are to make blog postings that loosely follow the teaching order of the course in the syllabus / specification / guide (whatever you want to call it!) so that you can hopefully use the postings as part of your teaching / learning.

I will cover the first year of IB to start with (and if things are successful, I will continue next academic year with the second year of IB!)

Intermingled with the ‘curriculm’ postings I will also post about various old (and new) aspects of Chemistry in the news.

Have a good term!
