Google Online Science Fair Contest

The title may seem like an unlikely title for an ITGS blog. However, the Google Science Fair certainly shows the trend to use current technologies to present new creative challenges for students. The advertisement can be viewed at

How is ITGS involved?

• Google Science Fair Channel on YouTube hosts a wide range of videos relating to the event.

• An impressive collection of online Google tools and Google sites (Resources) will be used to submit the science fair entries.
• A sample project is provided in Google sites (10 web pages): Can the current Artifical Intelligence (AI) that is used for autonomous robots be improved to increase the accuracy of the robot reaching its destination?

The prize for the winners? Impressive list from expedition to the Galapagos Islands with National Geographic Expeditions, scholarships and once-in-a-lifetime experience with one of the partner organizations (CERN, Google, the LEGO Group, or Scientific American).
