I firmly believe that travel can offer many opportunities for growth in CQ (Cultural Intelligence) and international mindedness.
Many schools now offer their students days or weeks off campus wherein there are activities to facilitate experiential learning in CAS, group 4 Science projects, as well as group 2 field studies.
Whilst off site from the school & perhaps in a holiday mood & mode it’s easy for ‘the traveller’ to miss those chances for interaction & reflection.
How does travel, and in particular tourism, affect the international mindedness of the student-traveller & the learning engendered in local partners & inhabitants?
