New research has revealed that Venus has an ozone layer. The layer is much less dense than ours and three times higher – but it is there all the same.
Ozone had, at one time, be thought to be indicative of life (there is an ozone layer around Mars – interesting?!) but there may now need to be a re-think on this idea.
How was the ozone found? By the European Space Agencies Venus Express craft.
