The RSA http://www.thersa.org/about-us is creating some great videos, incorporating animated line drawings to add another dimension to the spoken word.
There have been some criticisms of some aspects of the drawings, (accusations of sexism and racism from online comment makers), but still the concept is solid – the visuals complement the text and the package becomes entertaining as well as educational.
